We Are Ridgemont!

NeeDohs and other fidget toys

Posted Date: 05/04/26 (02:58 PM)

Dear Ridgemont Families,

Beginning May 5NeeDohs and other fidget toys will no longer be permitted on Ridgemont buses or in the school building. While we understand that these items can be fun and, in some cases, helpful, we have seen an increase in them becoming a distraction to learning. The popping noises and the frequent use of fidgets during instruction have made it difficult for some students to stay focused and for teachers to maintain an optimal learning environment. Also, students are popping NeeDohs and eating the contents, which raises additional concerns .

Our goal is to finish the school year strong, with classrooms that are calm, focused, and supportive of all learners. We appreciate your help in ensuring these items are kept at home.

Please note that if your student has a 504 Plan or other documented support that includes the use of specific tools, those accommodations will continue to be followed as outlined.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we work together to create the best possible learning environment for all students.

Sincerely,
Ridgemont Admin
