Overview

Ridgemont Title 1 Program: School-Parent Compact 

The Ridgemont Local School District and the parents of students participating in activities, services, and programs funded by Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act agree that this compact outlines how the parents, school staff, and students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement and the means by which the school and parents will build and develop a partnership that will help children meet or exceed Ohio’s high standards. Please discuss this with your child and return to their classroom teacher. 

 

School Responsibilities: 

We, as the faculty and staff of Ridgemont Elementary, will:

  • Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction delivered by certified and highly qualified staff in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the participating children to meet the state’s achievement standards.

  • Hold parent-teacher conferences to discuss each child’s achievement. 

  • Provide parents with periodic reports about their child’s progress.

  • Offer parents reasonable access to classroom teachers, Title I teachers, and administrators. 

  • Communicate and work with families to support students’ learning. 


Parent Responsibilities: 

I, as a parent, will support my child’s learning in the following ways:

  • Value and support my child’s attendance and growth at school. 

  • Participate in the district’s curricular events such as Title I meetings and Parent-Teacher Conferences virtually and/or face-to-face.

  • Stay informed about my child’s education and communicate with the school. 


Student Responsibilities: 

As a student, I will be responsible for growing as a learner and meeting the state’s high standards by:

  • Cooperating with my teachers and being responsible for my behavior.

  • Participating to the best of my ability in all of my classes. 

  • Reading independently or with my family on a regular basis.

  • Letting my teachers and family know when I need help.
